The company was founded by its founder Saad al-Deen al-Zaim and his sons in 1939 in Hama, which ranked first in Syria in the export of grain He served as President of the Syrian Grain Exporters' Union in 1956-1959.

The company initially worked to store grains (wheat, wheat and barley) in special warehouses to be sold out in the Syrian market (Aleppo, Hama, Damascus). Between 1947 and 1967, the work was developed by Hamdi , Hekmat and Ziad al-Zayad, sons of Saad al-Deen al-Zaim.
